Free. No catch.

$0/month. Unlimited invoicing, no tiers, no caps, no card. Supported by ads, not subscriptions — never inside your books.

Unlimited invoicing — send five or five hundred

Many entry-level plans from the big players cap how many invoices you can send each month, then ask you to upgrade once you hit the limit. We don't count your invoices, and we never will. It's free whether you send one or one thousand.

Ads keep the lights on

Simple, contextual ads on our public pages — the kind relevant to Australian small business. No behavioural tracking.

Never inside your books

The bookkeeping workspace is 100% ad-free. Your financial data is never used to target ads.

Why we don't do live bank feeds

Most accounting tools connect directly to your bank with a live feed. It sounds convenient — and it is — but it's also one of the biggest reasons they cost what they do.

Live feeds are powered by licensed data providers who charge a monthly fee for every single bank account connected. That cost gets built into the price everyone else pays. Skipping it is one of the ways we keep Billaroo free.

Instead, you bring your bank statement to us. Export it from your banking app, drag it in, and we automatically match it against your invoices and expenses. For most small businesses, reconciling this way takes about a minute, once a week or whenever you sit down to do the books.

What you get by doing it this way

Nothing to pay

Live feeds cost software companies a monthly per-account fee. Skipping them is part of how Billaroo stays free.

You stay in control of your data

Nothing is permanently connected to a third party. Your bank login and account details never touch our system.

Nothing to break

Live feeds are notorious for dropping out and needing reconnecting every few months. There's no connection to break here — your statement always works.

If your business grows and you decide live feeds are worth paying for, we plan to offer them later as an optional add-on. They'd be an optional extra, never something forced on everyone.

Pricing questions

Do you connect to my bank?

Not with a live feed — and that's deliberate. Live feeds cost software companies a monthly fee per account, which is a big part of why other tools cost what they do. Instead, you export your bank statement (every Australian bank lets you do this) and drag it in. We match it against your invoices and expenses automatically. It takes about a minute, keeps Billaroo free, and means your bank login never leaves your bank. Live feeds may come later as an optional add-on for businesses that want them.

How is it free?

Billaroo is supported by advertising, not subscriptions. You'll see simple, contextual ads on our public pages — never inside your bookkeeping workspace, and never any behavioural tracking of your financial data.

Will it always be free?

That's the plan. Billaroo is free today, funded by ads rather than subscriptions. We can't promise 'forever' in writing — no honest company can — so our terms simply say that if the model ever needs to change, we'll give you fair notice and never trap your data. You can export everything, any time.

Do you show ads?

Yes — simple, contextual ads on our public pages (home, pricing, guides), the kind relevant to Australian small business. There are no ads inside your bookkeeping workspace, and we don't do behavioural tracking of your financial data.

What if I need live bank feeds later?

If your business grows and live feeds are worth paying for, we plan to offer them as an optional add-on. They will always be optional, never forced on everyone.

Unlimited invoicing, free.

No tiers you don't need, no surprise upsells, and no lock-in. Just the basics, done well.
